Sweet Potato Pie  

    

The Best Sweet Potato Pie EVER! 
INGREDIENTS
3 Large Sweet Potatoes
1 Cup Evaporated Milk
1/2 stick of butter (melted and at room temperature)
1 Tablespoon of 100% Pure Vanilla extract
1 heaping teaspoon of cinnamon
Less than 1/4 teaspoon of Nutmeg
2 large eggs at room temperature
1 2/3 cups of Sugar

Step 1-Boil or Bake the whole Sweet Potatoes for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or less for baking. Once done boiling drain the water and let sweet potatoes cool for 1 hour

Step 2- Once cooled, peel sweet potatoes. The skin should come RIGHT off. Tip- use a butter knife to remove the skin if you like

PREHEAT OVEN TO 360°degrees

Step 3- In a large bowl add sweet potatoes and smash until they become a nice smooth consistency.

Step 4- Start off by mixing Sweet Potato Mixture for 40 seconds. You can use a regular large spoon or a hand mixer.

Step 5-Add 2 large eggs at room temperature and mix until well incorporated.

Step 7- Add 1/2 stick of melted butter and mix until well incorporated.

Step 8- Add 1 Cup of Evaporated Milk and mix until well incorporated.

Before we begin step 9 be careful with adding the spices because if you add too much spice then your pie will have a powerful spice flavor. The flavor of the spice will overpower your entire pie. Also Less than simply means DO NOT fill all the way to the top. Fill only 2/3rds of that 1/4 teaspoon with the spices.

Step 9- Add 1 tablespoon of Vanilla extract, 1 heaping teaspoon of cinnamon, less than 1/4 teaspoon of Nutmeg. Mix until well incorporated.

Step 10- Add 1 2/3 cup of Sugar and mix until well incorporated.

Step 11- Add filling into your pie crust and place in a preheated 350°degree oven and bake for 1 hour.

Step 12- After baking let cool for 6 hours.

Step 13 Serve and enjoy!
